“The pursuit of truth and beauty is a sphere of activity in which we are permitted to remain children all our lives.” ~Albert Einstein~
Sometimes I want to see the world through little eyes; to be captivated by the very notion of life. Today we took a walk on a favorite greenway. Before we began, I told the little boys that if they spotted something that they’d like to photograph that I’d hand over my phone. The eldest took a few, but was much too busy to think about capturing his explorations in a lens. The youngest, however, asked for my phone maybe a hundred times. Trees, water, sky, moss…he took it all in and left me in silent adoration of his eye for the simple beauty of nature. I took a sample of his pictures, added filters (because filters are merely a handy way to add the vibrancy of life back into the dullness that the lens omits), and voila. Wonder.
“Ordinary things are more valuable than extraordinary things; nay, they are more extraordinary.”
